Our Story
pilotED Schools was founded on the belief that to drive meaningful, lasting student outcomes, the learning experience had to look and feel different for students. Established by former teachers, drawing from their experience and success in the classroom, our model has continued to grow and develop over the course of nearly a decade.

2014-2017 The After-School Program pilotED started as an after-school program, serving students in west and south-side Chicago Public Schools. The program aimed to improve outcomes for students through targeted academic intervention, community-building, and engagement. Over the course of these three years, pilotED students . . . 2017-2018 Indianapolis School Launch pilotED Schools of Indiana received its first charter in 2017. Shortly after, in the fall of 2018, the school opened on the southeast side of Indianapolis to Kindergarten through 2nd Grade students. In alignment with the after-school program before it, the school aims to transform student outcomes through a holistic model that attends to both academic achievement and social-emotional development. |

2018-2023 School Growth Throughout its first years, the school continue to grow in both grades and total students. In 2021, Bethel Park ECE (a four-year-old Pre-K program) was added to the school to support the early learning needs of the community. In June 2023, the school graduated its first class of 6th Grade students. Bethel Park Elementary now operates at full grade capacity for PK through 6th Grade. |
